Follow these instructions to connect AirPods to an iPhone:
1. Ensure that your AirPods are charged and contained in their case.
2. Lock your iPhone, then lift the cover of the case.
3. Your iPhone screen should display a popup with details on your AirPods. Select "Connect" by tapping it.
4. If the popup is not visible, access the Control Centre by going to the Home screen and swiping down from the top-right corner (or up from the bottom on earlier iPhone models).
5. Press and hold the media playback card in the Control Center's upper-right corner.
6. The AirPods should be featured as an audio output option in the extended media playback interface. To pair the AirPods, simply tap on them.
7. When the AirPods are linked, you will hear a chime and a checkmark will appear next to them in the Control Centre.
As soon as your AirPods are within range and are ready, your iPhone will now connect to them automatically.
In order for AirPods to connect to your iPhone, you must make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Follow the first setup instructions that come with your AirPods to further ensure that they are correctly paired with your iPhone.
