Epic has begun formally hinting what will happen to the island in the following Fortnite season as the current one is fast coming to an end. It appears that the overarching theme, Wilds, is primarily centred on the jungle.
An eight-second teaser was published on the Fortnite Twitter page. In the video, the word "Wilds" appears on the screen, and a jungle can be seen in the distance. The sound of jungle-like nostrils can be heard throughout this. Just before the video concludes, the words June 9, 2023 flash on the screen.

The day indicated at the beginning of the teaser is significant since it marks the conclusion of Chapter 4 of Season 2 (the current season). Despite the lack of information regarding Season 2, the trailer does seem to support the earlier rumours, with the season's theme heavily emphasising the jungle.
A leaked loading screen from late last week showed a few of the original Fortnite characters sprinting through the jungle alongside Optimus Prime, the head of the Autobots. Optimus Prime will be included in the battle pass rather than being a bonus skin like Eren Yeager was this season, claims Shiina, a well-known Fortnite content maker.
